Is that a Fiero?

Why yes. Yes it was. And that is indeed the line used by Gil Grissom in the CSI episode “4×4″. It appears to be a modified 1985 GT in gold and with the firebird pegasus insignia to boot. I spotted it and shot the photo while waiting to purchasing less-expensive fuel just before the skies opened up for that torrential downpour yesterday.
I actually wanted one when it was first released but then I graduated from high school.

That’s not a Firebird logo. It is actually a Fiero logo from the emblem. It’s a flying Pegasus not a screaming chicken. :p
BTW that is not a firebird insignia. That is the fiero insignia. it is a pegasus.
Oops. My bad. It’s been corrected. But… is it a 1985 GT? Going on GT decal and lack of fastback as identifiers.
Yeah, it looks like an 85 GT to me. I’ve got an ’86 when GM switched over to the fasback clip for the GT’s.
I would say it is an 85 GT. Going by the sail panel decal. The other clue is the ribbed body molding. In 86 I think they switched all the cars over to a smooth body molding…IIRC
That would be an 86 or 87 SE. Gold was offered only in those years. The 86 and 87 SE’s shared the same body as the 85 GT. The ribbed molding carried through til 87 on the notchbacks. The 85 GT was only available with a V6 while the 86 and 87 SE was available with the L4 or the V6. This car is a V6. If you enlarge the picture and look at the center of the dash, you can just see the top of the auxiliary gauge pod. Only came in the V6′s
The sail panel says GT, so either they have been replaced or the auxiliary gauge pod that you can see just under the driver’s windshield wiper, has been added.
